2019 – The Foundation of the IRONCROSSHAIR Paintball Division
Since 1997 we have stood together on the battlefield of color. We’ve fought under many flags, been united on different teams, and carried different logos on our shield.
So many names, so many teams, so many profiles – too many!
From 2019, the guys from Saxon Switzerland will only appear as IRONCROSSHAIR.
Our team „Paint Infected“ will not be continued, our website www.magfed.army will not be continued and our group „Paintball Saxon Switzerland“ will be closed.
On these three pillars, will be built „IRONCROSSHAIR“ – one team, one website!
We’ve been tinkering with our website for a couple of years, and, well, we kinda realized we bit off more than we could chew with the whole thing. The time needed to bring our ideas to life was just too much, and to top it off, we backed the wrong horse with that Adobe Muse software.
So, come early 2018, we made the call to pull the plug on the website project and switch gears to run a blog instead. It’s gonna have all the deets about our team, an event calendar, and pics from our shenanigans. Plus, we’ll be dropping regular articles about Magfed-Paintball. Since mainstream platforms like Facebook or Youtube weren’t our jam for legal and design reasons, we’ve hitched our wagon to WordPress. It gives us way more freedom to jazz up the design and content.
Fast forward to February 2019, and boom, the blog officially goes live, marking a new chapter in our team’s story
Since 2014, we’ve been rocking paintball as Team Paint Infected. Five years jam-packed with awesome events like Advanced Scenario Campaign, Operation Black Sky, Legion Franken Scenario Day, and Helldays. We’ve hit up cool playing fields like the Citadel in Givet or the NATO military base in Wędrzyn. We’ve partied and battled it out at countless BigGames in Brozek, Sternebeck, and Mahlwinkel.
And guess what? We’re not slowing down anytime soon. The thrill of paintball is just as epic as it was 20 years ago. Team „Paint Infected“ is now „IRONCROSSHAIR,“ but we’re still the same old front pigs. We’re here to play, drink, party with you, and add a splash of color to life.
When I look back to the good ol‘ days, I can’t help but grin: rocking a moped helmet instead of a fancy paintball mask, slinging 10-round tubes instead of a hopper, and every fifth shot a burst with the pump. We spent many years tearing it up in the Saxon Switzerland Woodland Paintball scene.
But, you know how it goes, time marches on, and we’re not getting any younger. Sadly, we hardly find the time to hit the field together.
But hey, when one door closes, another swings open wide: We’ve linked up with the „Guardians of the Forest“ and are stoked to throw down with them regularly. They’ve got an awesome paintball field, fair players, and killer service!
Big shoutout to EVERYONE making Woodland Paintball happen in our neck of the woods and having our backs!
