Fast PJ- NAVY SEAL

For modern milsim events I use a replica of the well-known Fast Helmet. The helmet is open in the side area and allows the use of headphones. It also has an NVG mounting platform at the front, where I use a Runcam 5 to record games. The PJ variant already has air inlets that serve for better air circulation inside the helmet. On the side, the helmet has mounting rails for other accessories such as lamps, or mask holders. Since I play it in conjunction with paintball masks, I had to make some changes to the suspension system, padding and straps.

Technical Information

Brand: Emerson Fast PJ – Navy Seal
Material: Plastic
Fastening: Andux chin strap TKXBT-01
Color: Navy Seal Spray
Weight: about 585 grams
Size: universal
Price: 35€
Cover: brand Ataka, Fast helmet cover in Atacs FG

modification

1. helmet completely disassemble, because the paintball mask does not fit under the original belt system

2. holes for the turbine and the retaining screws

3. attach chin strap by means of screws, use existing hole for this purpose

After removing the original pads and strap system, the helmet fits perfectly to the head shape. Adjustment of the strap is no longer possible, but since the helmet sits on the mask, the chin strap gives enough support. Adjustment to the head is possible by attaching universal pads.

Assemble the fan system. (See below for parts list)

5. cut hoses to size and attach them to the turbine using adhesive tape

Mount the fan system on the helmet. Fix hoses with drill hole and cable tie

Attach the side rails with screws. Mount black cover caps on screws.

Cut holes in cover for cable and rotary control. Mount power bank, current transformer and rotary control in bag.

9. attach upholstery – done!

MICH2000 Helmet

My favorite helmet for paintball is a replica of the famous combat helmet „MICH 2000“ (Modula Integrated Communications Helmet). The helmet offers super protection, is extremely light and fits over all my masks. Thanks to the universal optics it can be used for different scenarios, e.g. WW2, Resident Evil, US Infantry. By means of adapters can attach action cams , night vision devices, or lamps. The only drawback: Unfortunately, there is no more room for headphones on the ears, so you have to use earplugs when sparking.

modification

For better ventilation of the helmet I added several holes on the top. For ventilation I found a construction manual on the net and use a turbine for it. Unfortunately, I can no longer find the instructions to link. In the center, the helmet has a large hole, which allows the built-in fan to pull fresh air from the outside. The air is then blown through two hoses directly from above into the mask.

The fan is supplied with power via a powerbank – enough for an entire gaming day. Furthermore, the strength of the airflow can be regulated via a rotary switch. The whole thing is located in the counterweight pocket of the cover.
